Podcast Consolidation Platform

As the podcast world flourishes, it has nearly become standard for podcasts to offer a video format as an option to listeners. As an avid podcast listener myself, one problem I’ve noticed is that many times podcasts hosts will reference something on audio that is only viewable through their video option. This leaves users with the dilemma of being left out or swapping to the video podcast, if only for a few moments, to see what is being referenced.

Currently, there is no good way of accessing the video edition of a podcast without needing to scroll through (sometimes) hours of video to find your place, and then back again if you want to swap back to audio.

My idea is an app that links the audio and video editions of a podcast so that users can seamlessly swap between formats.

This is a final project for a Visual Design in HCI course I took in summer 2021, and I am currently working on a portfolio page and figma prototype to better represent it. For now, below is a download button for the final pdf submission with a walkthrough of my research, iterations, and design process.
